City art gallery "Atanas Sharenkov"

Art Gallery - Haskovo was founded in 1962 as part of the Historical Museum - an "Art" department. When the museum moved to its new premises, in the old one remains only beautiful collection Bulgarian art. Initially it is set in a former movie theater "September" and the Fund and consists of about 550 works, mostly by local artists Dimitar Ivanov – Litso, Peter Tolchev and others. In 1989, the gallery is separated as an independent cultural institution. In 1998 the gallery moved to a new - restored building, monuments from the beginning of the last century, where it is today, and in 2006 again is the "Art" department of the regional museum.
